After serving two years active duty with the United States Navy and seven years as a reservist, Dr. Sikora achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He returned to Loyola University and served a two year residency in orthodontics. In 1982, Dr. Sikora received his specialty license and opened his office in Normal. Dr. Sikora and his wife, Cathy, have seven children and reside in Bloomington. He serves the community as a member of the Homes of Hope Foundation that creates quality Christian homes for adults with developmental disabilities and sits on the Education Commission for Bloomington Central Catholic High School. Dr. Sikora is a past president of the Illinois Society of Orthodontists and the Mclean County Dental Society. In 1989, Dr. Sikora made case presentations and completed his written and oral examinations to become board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the College of Diplomats of the American Board of Orthodontics. He holds membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the McLean County Dental Society. | |
